Physician Class - Pediatric Advanced Life Support-PALS (Renewal)with optional Basic Life Support (BLS)

This is an American Heart Association course in Pediatric Advanced Life Support-PALS (Renewal).  

• credential card valid for 2 years
• class fee is $225
• BLS class fee $60 
• Online payment is NOT available. Credit card payment will be accepted at the time of class 
• pocket reference cards are optional 
• pre-test* completion of (minimum score 80%) is required of ALL students
• for health care providers who either direct or participate in the resuscitation of pediatric patients in or out of hospital and have CURRENT PALS cards
• goal of PALS Provider Course is to improve the recognition, treatment, and outcomes of seriously ill and injured children.

Please note the following:
1. BLS is taught from 5:00 to 6:00 PM.  The PALS portion follows the BLS, therefore, if you are not taking the BLS you do not need to arrive until 6:00 PM.

2.  This class is for physicians, physician assistant, dentist & advanced practice nurses- EXCLUDING STUDENTS AND INTERNS

3. Online payment is currently unavailable. Please bring payment to class.

4. You must pass and bring your completed pre-test* (regardless of your experience) and valid BLS card to class. Failure to bring these two items will result in your being rescheduled for a later date.

* INSTRUCTIONS FOR PRE-TEST:

• • Go to AHA website: eLearning.heart.org
  • Find the Heart & Flame icon at top left of screen, just below it you will see the 'courses' tab. 
  • Select: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Scroll down until you locate 'Precourse Self-Assessment'
  • Select 'launch course'
  • Sign in or create account
  • Select red 'start' box
  • Select red 'start' box again 
  • Snap a screenshot with your phone or Print off a copy of your score as well as the completed certificate and bring to class or you will be rescheduled for another class.
  
  
• To reiterate...it is our policy that you will not be allowed to take the course unless your pre-test is completed.

NOTE:  AHA DOES NOT SAVE YOUR PRETEST SO MAKE SURE YOU PRINT OFF A COPY UPON COMPLETION.

LOCATION:

The class is held in the Education Center of OSU Medical Center, 2nd Floor of main hospital, 744 W. 9th St., Tulsa, OK 74127. The education center is located in the "Nursing Logistics" department on the 2nd floor (near the auditorium).

DIRECTIONS:

• 11th & Houston, downtown, just off the Broken Arrow Expressway westbound 
• Park in visitor parking on Level one or two of the parking garage
• Enter MAIN HOSPITAL Entrance  
• Turn right at the desk and follow the orange signs for north elevators
• Take north elevators to the 2nd floor
• Go right from elevators and follow signs to auditorium
• Follow signs to "Nursing Logistics"
• Enter the door for Nursing Logistics, the Education Classroom is down the hall
